It was an absolute honor to have the opportunity to photograph ALOK in Portland, Maine. I was moved by their freedom of expression and sense of self. The audience attracted to such brilliance through spoken comedic word was also so very inspiring. How would we live, who would we love, how would we dress if we were totally and completely free? ALOK shows us the way.

May all beings feel safe and free to be who they are regardless of others’ opinions, collective conditioning, ignorance, doctrine, dogma, religion and systems of oppression. May we learn what it means to be an ally to all people and truly care for one another through understanding and respect.
