Gemma Soldati~ a brilliant, unpredictable, hysterically funny performing artist

Gemma Soldati is a genius at her craft and I am so pleased to have photographed her most recent performance, The Poor Rich at the lovely Players’ Ring Theater and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Gemma is a master at comedic performance and is fearless in her spontaneity and engagement with the moment and the audience. She is ALIVE on stage and appears to captivate every person witnessing her. It was a thrill to be there!

I mean, no one really knew what to do with her or what to expect next. It was wild and it was raucous and absolutely awesome. I was in shock most of the time but managed to capture the furry of the moment unfolding rapidly second by second. I think she got a rise out of everyone there even though some perhaps didn’t know how to feel or what to think. Her performances hold back nothing. And that is maybe the point and brilliance of it. Gemma gets us to think, to see our absurdities and be able to laugh at ourselves more freely.

Gemma was incredibly skilled at engaging the audience and every single person that answered her call could not contain their laughter and neither could the rest of us!

This New Hampshire native is a rising star recognized for her talent in New England, New York, LA, Chicago, Melbourne and beyond. Gemma Soldati is unstoppable. Catch a show and be changed. It’s healing, remarkable, significant, relatable & hysterically funny.
